How To Apply

FOR NEW/PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS.

The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. We are grateful for your interest in our school for your child/children.

Please ensure you complete ALL FOUR steps below and submit all requested materials.

To begin the application process, please create an application account. From there, you will be instructed to create a login, password, and verify your email via a message to your email account.

2. CLICK TO START YOUR APPLICATION

You have the flexibility to log in and out of your application account without losing your data as it will autosave. There will be a green check mark for each section once you have completed all required fields.

Once all required fields of the application are complete, you must select "Review & Submit." You will then be instructed to pay the application fee of $50. 

3. COMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATION & PAY APPLICATION FEE

4. SUBMIT REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

In addition to the online application, please submit the following:

  1. Copy of your child’s birth certificate

  2. Baptismal Certificate or other Sacramental Certificates (where applicable)

  3. Latest report card (Grades 1-8)

  4. Pre-school progress report (Grade K)

  5. Latest Standardized Test Results (if applicable)

  6. Latest Educational/Developmental Test Results (speech, IEP, 504 Plan, etc.)

Your completed application will be promptly reviewed and you will be directed to complete the enrollment process.

ADMISSIONS GUIDELINES & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle follows the Archdiocese of Washington and State of Maryland guidelines for students entering Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.

To support appropriate placement and enrollment decisions, the Academy uses a combination of screening assessments, academic records, and family interviews.
