Since 1961, our school has been a place where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is celebrated, and every child is supported to grow in mind and spirit. We prouxdly welcome students from preschool (starting at age 4) through Grade 8, embracing families of all faiths, races, and backgrounds.
As a modern coeducational Catholic school, we operate under the esteemed guidance of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, DC, and proudly serve as a parish school to St. Matthias Apostle Catholic Church in Lanham, Maryland.

Our mission is to empower every student to thrive academically and spiritually through an environment that promotes growth, character development, and a lifelong love of learning rooted in faith. With daily faith integrated into school life, students attend Mass regularly and help prepare liturgies as part of their religious education. Together, we cultivate a supportive community where compassion, respect, and responsibility guide students to positively influence the world around them.

St. Matthias holds accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and has been honored with the U.S. Department of Education’s Certificate of Merit.
