  • The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle operates from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Yes. Before Care is available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., and After Care is offered from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • School uniforms are purchased through FlynnO’Hara Uniforms, our official uniform provider.

  • Yes. Our annual Open House is held on the last Sunday in January from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

    In addition, we offer individual tours Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., during the school year by appointment.

  • Yes. Families may apply for financial aid through FACTS. Eligible families may also apply for BOOST scholarships. Additional information is available through the school office.

  • Yes. Each family is expected to complete 20 volunteer service hours during the school year.

  • Students at the Academy of St. Matthias may participate in Basketball, Soccer, and Track & Field through the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).

  • Yes. Spanish is taught at all grade levels.

  • Yes. The Academy of St. Matthias offers an optional hot lunch program through Anytime Lunch Services. Students may purchase a full lunch through this program.

  • Students receive instruction in Art, Technology, Spanish, Library, Music, and Physical Education.

  • Yes. Students in Grades 4–8 may enroll in the Archdiocese of Washington Band Program. More information is available at adwband.com.

  • Extracurricular offerings vary each year. Examples of past clubs include Drama Club, Sewing Club, Photography Club, and Art Club.

  • Yes. Students attend school Mass each Friday. They may participate as lectors, choir members, or altar servers.

  • Transportation is not provided by the school. Students are transported by parents or carpools.
