The Academy of St. Matthias the Apostle operates from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Yes. Before Care is available from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., and After Care is offered from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

School uniforms are purchased through FlynnO’Hara Uniforms, our official uniform provider.

Yes. Our annual Open House is held on the last Sunday in January from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In addition, we offer individual tours Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., during the school year by appointment. -
Yes. Families may apply for financial aid through FACTS. Eligible families may also apply for BOOST scholarships. Additional information is available through the school office.

Yes. Each family is expected to complete 20 volunteer service hours during the school year.

Students at the Academy of St. Matthias may participate in Basketball, Soccer, and Track & Field through the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO).

Yes. Spanish is taught at all grade levels.

Yes. The Academy of St. Matthias offers an optional hot lunch program through Anytime Lunch Services. Students may purchase a full lunch through this program.

Students receive instruction in Art, Technology, Spanish, Library, Music, and Physical Education.

Yes. Students in Grades 4–8 may enroll in the Archdiocese of Washington Band Program. More information is available at adwband.com.

Extracurricular offerings vary each year. Examples of past clubs include Drama Club, Sewing Club, Photography Club, and Art Club.

Yes. Students attend school Mass each Friday. They may participate as lectors, choir members, or altar servers.

Transportation is not provided by the school. Students are transported by parents or carpools.
